the Russian Foreign Ministry called on the United States to release Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife. In an official statement, the ministry said, “In light of confirmed reports regarding the presence of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife in the United States, we strongly urge the American leadership to reconsider its stance and release the legitimately elected president of a sovereign state and his spouse.”

The statement also emphasized the need to create conditions for resolving any existing issues between the U.S. and Venezuela through dialogue.

Meanwhile, China’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the U.S. actions, describing them as “a blatant violation of international law and an infringement on Venezuela’s sovereignty,” and warning that such conduct threatens peace and security in Latin America and the Caribbean.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed concern over the apparent disregard for international law in the context of the U.S. operation in Venezuela. He warned that the American operation could have troubling implications for the region and set a dangerous precedent.

Additionally, both Mexico and Brazil condemned the U.S. attack on Venezuelan territory and the detention of President Maduro, labeling it a flagrant breach of international law and a serious overstep of acceptable boundaries.

Mexico’s Foreign Ministry released an official statement denouncing “the unilateral military operations carried out by U.S. armed forces in recent hours against targets on Venezuelan soil,” calling the actions a “clear violation of the UN Charter.”

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated that “the bombing of Venezuelan territory and the detention of its president cross acceptable red lines,” describing the actions as a grave assault on Venezuela’s sovereignty and a highly dangerous precedent for the international community.

Brazil also announced its readiness to mediate in the crisis, with President Lula affirming his country’s commitment to promoting dialogue and cooperation among all involved parties.
