Spanish football club Real Madrid announced that their French striker Kylian Mbappé has suffered an injury to his left knee.
In an official statement, the club said that medical tests confirmed Mbappé sustained a sprain in his left knee and that his condition will continue to be monitored.
While the club did not specify how long he will be out, Eurosport reported that his expected absence could last up to three weeks.
As a result, Mbappé is likely to miss the Spanish Super Cup matches, scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to 11, 2026.
So far this season (2025–2026), the 27-year-old has played 24 matches for Real Madrid across all competitions, scoring 29 goals and providing 5 assists.
