The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced today, Thursday, the arrival of 75 tons of Iraqi medical supplies and assistance to Lebanon, confirming its preparations to launch the first land aid convoy.

The spokesman for the General Secretariat, Haidar Majid, stated, "Iraq has completed the delivery of 75 tons of medical, therapeutic, and humanitarian aid to Lebanon through five airlift operations, which included a shipment for the Ministry of Health, three shipments for the Popular Mobilization Authority, and one for the Red Crescent Society."

He added, "The Holy Hussain Shrine is preparing, in the coming hours, to launch the first large land aid convoy to Lebanon, which will contain medical devices, equipment, and relief materials."

He also noted that "there are campaigns in the provinces to collect food supplies for Lebanon."

Majid continued, "The Iraqi Ministry of Health has confirmed its readiness to receive the wounded and prepare hospitals and medical staff for this purpose."
