The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, on Thursday, the Republic of Iraq’s strongest condemnation of the statements made by the occupying entity regarding the "Greater Israel vision."

A statement from the ministry said, "The Republic of Iraq strongly condemns the statements issued by the occupying entity concerning the so-called 'Greater Israel vision,' which clearly reveal the expansionist ambitions of this entity," affirming its pursuit of "destabilizing security and stability in the region.

It added that "these statements are a clear challenge to the rights of countries and a serious breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, which requires a strong and united response from Arab and international communities to address such actions." The statement noted that "these brazen remarks come in conjunction with the continued adoption of aggressive policies and the perpetration of crimes against the Palestinian people by the occupation authorities."

It emphasized that "these practices, coupled with a political discourse based on expansion and annexation," call for "effective action to put an end to the occupation’s violations and to stop the policy of impunity."
