The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, expressed his gratitude to the Iraqi government on Thursday for sending medical staff and aid to Lebanon in light of the recent explosions.

In his speech following the explosions, Nasrallah stated, "The Zionist enemy wanted to kill 5,000 people in one minute in the explosions on Tuesday and Wednesday without any restrictions." He added, "This criminal act is a major terrorist operation, an act of genocide and massacre, and amounts to a declaration of war. The enemy aimed to push the resistance in Lebanon to surrender, but we say that the front in Lebanon will not stop striking the Zionist entity until its war on Gaza ends."

He also thanked the governments of Iran and Syria for their support.
