External remittance sales in the Central Bank's auction rose by 96% today, reaching over $246 million.
It was reported that the bank sold $225,689,107 in its auction today, covered by a basic exchange rate of 1,310 dinars per dollar for documentary credits and international card settlements, and at the same rate for external remittances, while the cash sales were at 1,305 dinars per dollar.
Most of the dollar sales were directed to strengthen foreign balances in the form of remittances and credits, totaling $246,939,107, which is a 96% increase compared to cash sales of $8,750,000.
