Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani confirmed that the announcement regarding the end date of the International Coalition's mission in Iraq will be made soon.

In an interview with Bloomberg TV, al-Sudani stated that Iraq has transitioned from a phase of conflict to a phase of stability.

He added: "We will announce the end date of the International Coalition's mission in Iraq during the International Conference against ISIS," noting that "ending the International Coalition's mission in Iraq is part of the government's agenda."

He explained that "the justifications for the International Coalition's presence have ended, and there is no need for 86 countries." He also pointed out that: "According to our vision and assessment, we have begun a candid dialogue with the International Coalition, which has included many discussions."

He continued: "I discussed the issue of the International Coalition with the U.S. President in Washington, and we formed a bilateral committee in August of last year between military leaders to start the dialogue." He noted that "the committee reached agreements on arranging the withdrawal of the International Coalition, and it was expected that the results would be presented and announced. However, due to concerns about mixing issues and creating misunderstandings, the announcement was postponed to be made during an international conference against ISIS."
