Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh submitted his resignation of his government to King Abdullah II today Sunday in preparation for forming a new government following the parliamentary elections according to Jordanian state television.

**– Official Resignation of the Jordanian Government**

 

According to the "Al-Mamlaka" channel, "Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh's government submitted its resignation this morning after completing the requirement of the 20th House of Representatives elections."

 

King Abdullah II accepted the resignation of Al-Khasawneh’s government and tasked it with continuing to handle current affairs until the new government is formed and begins its work. The King also appointed Jaafar Hassan to form the new government.

 

Jaafar Hassan, born in 1968, is a Jordanian politician and former minister who has held several positions, including serving as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation from 2009 to 2013, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs in 2018, and is currently the Director of the Jordanian Royal Office.
