Archbishop Bashar Warda told Alawla English that the message of the cross and Christianity is endurance and patience in the face of trials. In an exclusive statement to "Alawla English," the Archbishop emphasized the importance of complete faith in God and trust that everything that comes from Him is for the good, while avoiding the doubt that some may experience when facing difficulties and hardships.
He added that whoever believes that God is love is certain that He does not harm them, and that the suffering they endure is a form of mercy. He then recalled the suffering of Jesus Christ, who bore the cross until the end. His first words were a prayer for forgiveness for his people, saying, "They do not know what they are doing," and his last words were, "Into your hands, I commit my spirit."
