Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, at his residence in Tunis, hosted a meeting with a group of business leaders, investors, and representatives of Tunisian companies and the private sector on Wednesday evening.

In his remarks, Al-Sudani expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the President of Tunisia and the Prime Minister for their warm hospitality and reception, reflecting the deep fraternal relationship between the two brotherly peoples. He noted that important and constructive discussions were held, complementing the Iraqi-Tunisian Joint Committee meeting three months ago, which laid the groundwork for this visit and its outcomes.

“Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of engaging with the private sector and Tunisian business leaders, which was a key focus of the discussions held earlier with the Tunisian government. He highlighted the favorable business environment and the opportunities available in both Iraq and Tunisia for entrepreneurs and companies, stressing the importance of joint investment and trade between the two countries,” according to the statement by the Media Office of the Prime Minister  , received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.

The statement added,"The Prime Minister pointed out the promising opportunities available in various sectors, confirming that Iraq has overcome all security challenges following its significant victory over terrorism. The country now enjoys peace and stability, allowing the government to focus on comprehensive economic development, leveraging Iraq's natural and human resources, strategic geographic location, and a market capable of meeting all needs".

Prime Minister Al-Sudani also outlined the government's steps in economic reform and enhancing an attractive business environment, presenting opportunities and projects across all sectors. He assured the Tunisian private sector representatives of the government's commitment to providing the necessary support within an agreed-upon framework.
