A security source reported that one person was killed and several internal security personnel were injured in a suicide bombing that targeted a police patrol in the Bab al-Faraj area in central Aleppo.

The source added that the explosion occurred near a checkpoint close to the Church of Our Lady of the Greeks.

The incident comes amid intermittent security tensions in Aleppo in recent weeks, marked by clashes between government forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces. These confrontations have resulted in casualties and injuries, as well as the displacement of families from some neighborhoods, according to medical sources and media reports.
