Iran’s ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al Sadeq, offered congratulations for the completion of the first constitutional milestone in Iraq.

According to the office of the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi met with the Iranian ambassador at the headquarters of the Taqaddum Party, which al-Halbousi leads.

The statement noted that the Iranian ambassador extended his congratulations on the occasion of completing the first constitutional entitlement and on al-Halbousi’s election as Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament.

The meeting also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them, in addition to regional developments and several issues of mutual interest.
