Iraq has ranked near the bottom among Arab countries and placed 86th globally out of 147 nations in the Artificial Intelligence Usage Index, according to the “AI Readiness Index” report issued by the Artificial Intelligence Economy Institute affiliated with Microsoft.
The report, reviewed by Shafaq News Agency, stated that “Iraq ranked 13th among Arab countries in the index measuring AI adoption among the working-age population, with a rate of 10.3%, making it the lowest in the Arab region.”
The report noted that “Iraq’s usage rate is low compared to its economic size, reflecting insufficient investment in digital transformation and technical education.”
