Saudi Arabia has praised the phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump and announced its readiness to host a summit between the two leaders.

In a statement, the Kingdom expressed its welcome to the possibility of holding a summit between Putin and Trump on its soil, affirming its support for efforts to achieve lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine.

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman had previously expressed the Kingdom's willingness to assist the concerned parties in reaching a political solution to the crisis during his communications with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 3, 2022.

Over the past three years, the Kingdom has continued its diplomatic efforts, including hosting several meetings aimed at finding peaceful solutions to the crisis.

Saudi Arabia confirmed its commitment to supporting international efforts to achieve stability and peace in the region, expressing hope that the potential summit between the Russian and U.S. presidents would enhance dialogue and understanding between the two sides.
