Iraqi Foreign Minister: ISIS Seizes Syrian Army Weapons and Regroups.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stated on Thursday evening that the terrorist organization ISIS is regrouping, having seized large quantities of weapons due to the collapse of the Syrian army and its abandonment of its weapon stockpiles. This has enabled ISIS to expand its control over additional areas.

Hussein made these remarks during a phone call with the UK's Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, Hamish Falconer.

He warned of the dangers of ISIS members escaping from prisons and the deterioration of the situation in the Al-Hol camp, highlighting the implications for security in Syria and Iraq. He stressed the necessity of "building the Syrian political process on the basis of including representatives of all components and the importance of providing sustainable international aid to the Syrian people.

In response, Falconer expressed his satisfaction with the outcomes of the Aqaba meetings, in which the UK participated, emphasizing the importance of continuing these meetings within the same framework to monitor the situation in Syria and observe developments there.

The British minister also voiced his country's concerns about the potential for armed clashes between some militant groups and the Syrian Democratic Forces, stressing that "the situation in Syria cannot withstand further internal fighting."
