The Ninawa Criminal Court issued a ten-year imprisonment sentence against the owner of Al-Haytham Hall for events in Al-Hamdaniya.

The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council clarified that "the court issued its verdict against the convict for the crime of causing the fire in Al-Haytham Hall for events, which led to the death and injury of more than 200 citizens.

The judgment against him was based on the provisions of Article 343/3 of the Penal Code No. 111 of the year 1969.
