The Border Forces Command announced today, Sunday, that the situation on the border with Syria is fully secured, and there are four barriers.

In a press statement, Major General Khairallah Issa, Commander of the Second Region Border Forces, reassured leaders and citizens that the situation on the border with Syria is fully secured and stated, "We have four barriers (trenches, earthen berms, concertina wire, and a concrete wall 3.5 meters high).

He added that "the force holding the crossing consists of 4 brigades and 6 reserve battalions within this sector, extending along the border, and a mechanized infantry reserve battalion, with the presence of the Popular Mobilization Forces in-depth. The border cannot be breached in any way, and the crossing is closed.

He continued, "We are fully prepared and on alert for any eventualities, and the entire border is monitored with 105 cameras." He confirmed that "we do not need to reinforce the forces present at the Al-Qaim crossing, and the weapons are sufficient. There will be no breach.
