Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani emphasized today, Wednesday, that achieving executive work goals requires supportive and supervisory legislative work.
He also stated, "During our hosting in the House of Representatives today at our request, we, along with the ministers of foreign affairs, planning, and interior, reviewed the policies and measures taken to address regional challenges. We provided a brief overview of the implementation of the government program, the achieved progress on the main priorities of the program, and highlighted the necessity of ministerial amendments, amendments to the general federal budget law, and the need for legislation and laws to proceed with the achievements.
He added, "We believe that achieving executive work goals requires supportive and supervisory legislative work. The integration between the executive and legislative branches is the essence of our democratic system, which continues thanks to the respect for constitutional principles and the sacrifices of our great people, whom we are honored to serve in various positions of responsibility.
He concluded by saying, "We extend our thanks and appreciation to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, his deputies, and the members of the council for hosting us and performing their legislative and supervisory roles in a manner that reflects diligence, responsibility, and patriotism.
