In a regular meeting held by the State Administration Coalition on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Baghdad, attended by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and Speaker of Parliament Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the meeting was dedicated to discussing the security developments in Syria and their potential impact on Iraqi national security.
The coalition affirmed its full support for all diplomatic and security efforts made by the Iraqi government since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, emphasizing the importance of continuing security and diplomatic coordination to face regional challenges. The coalition also called for making Baghdad a center for ongoing dialogue among the concerned parties in the region.
At the end of the meeting, the participants reassured the Iraqi people that the government continues its efforts to ensure security and stability in the country and to address any threats that may arise from the situation in Syria.
