The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced today, Thursday, the signing of a historic deal to purchase 25 advanced F-15IA aircraft from the American company Boeing at a total cost of 5.2 billion dollars.
Additionally, the agreement, which received funding from American aid, allows for the potential future purchase of 25 more aircraft.
This deal is considered Israel's latest move to enhance its defense capabilities, as the contract was signed after a series of negotiations that involved close cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the Israeli Air Force.
Brigadier General (Res.) Eyal Zamir signed the agreement during his visit to the United States last month, with the final signing to take place later.
