His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Baghdad Palace, the head of the Integrity Commission, Mr. Muhammad Ali Al-Lami.

His Excellency congratulated the head of the commission on his appointment, affirming that everyone expects the commission to take effective and correct steps to preserve public funds through legal and constitutional procedures. He added that identifying the waste of public funds is a noble national task that requires a serious and firm stance from all regulatory bodies, especially the Integrity Commission. He called for the adoption of comprehensive and integrated national plans and programs in which all official and community activities play an active role.

His Excellency, the President of the Republic, called for enhancing cooperation and coordination with countries around the world to apprehend the wanted individuals and recover Iraq's funds abroad.

For his part, Mr. Mohammed Al-Lami reviewed the authority's future plans and programs, appreciating the support of His Excellency the President of the Republic for the authority's work and efforts in achieving transparency. He also emphasized the importance of the presidency of the republic supporting the integrity commission in its efforts to combat corruption, recover Iraq's funds, and preserve national wealth.
