The Middle East Forum "Miri" begins its activities in Erbil today, Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
Hundreds of academics, government officials, party members, researchers, and journalists are participating in the Miri Forum in Erbil to discuss various topics related to the hot issues in Kurdistan and Iraq amid the current changes in the region.
Discussion panels are held with the participation of Kurdish and Iraqi officials and foreign diplomats.
The Middle East Research Institute (MERI) holds a wide range of conferences and meetings, including large-scale international forums. These events aim to engage local and international stakeholders in their activities, including opinion leaders and decision-makers, and provide a platform to discuss and debate the key issues affecting Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the broader Middle East. The Middle East Research Institute does this by leveraging its position as a leading independent institution in the field of "policy-making," aiming to foster constructive discussions on a wide range of issues.
On these occasions, the institution had the honor of hosting a number of distinguished speakers, including the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, several ministers from both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and many international figures, such as the Turkish Foreign Minister.
The events organized by the Middle East Research Foundation aim to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East region through a broad focus on dialogue and mutual discussion. The Middle East Research Institute believes that this culture is the central culture for strengthening long-term stability in Iraq and the broader Greater Middle East region.
