The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, chaired a meeting today, Wednesday, with a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to follow up on the Baghdad International Airport development project.

 
The meeting discussed the steps taken by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to attract investors and companies specialized in airport management, which have reached a total of 14 companies. 

 
The Prime Minister confirmed the government's commitment to the rehabilitation project of Baghdad International Airport despite all the challenges, as it underwent an in-depth study and received attention at the government and Ministry of Transport levels.

 
His Excellency indicated that the model for the project encompasses many advantages that have led the most successful airports in the region to operate and be managed through it. He emphasized the necessity for the qualification and development processes to adhere to the latest specifications and standards set by the relevant international airport organizations, pointing out that the project will achieve two main principles: the first is to double profits and revenues, and the second is to improve the service provided to citizens.
