The Commission: The turnout rate for the special voting in the Kurdistan elections reached 97 percent.


The Electoral Commission announced today, Friday, that the voter turnout in the special voting for the Kurdistan Parliament elections was generally 97 percent.

 
The official spokesperson for the Kurdistan Parliament elections, Aser Yasin, said in a press conference followed by "Al-Awla" that "the participation rate in Duhok was 98%, in Erbil 97%, in Sulaymaniyah 97%, and in Halabja 96%."

 
Yasin added, "The participation rate in Nineveh is 43%, in Kirkuk 56%, in Diyala 62%, in Anbar 8%, in Baghdad Karkh 79%, in Wasit 4%, in Salah al-Din 54%, and in Baghdad Rusafa 60%."

 
The Federal Independent High Electoral Commission opened the doors of the polling centers this Friday morning to receive the security forces to cast their votes on the special voting day for the sixth session of the Kurdistan Parliament elections.
