Official media reported on Tuesday that at least one person was killed in a fire that broke out at the small Pars Petro Shushtar refinery in Iran's Khuzestan province.
Official media reported the governor of Shushtar city as saying, "The fire is under control, but firefighters and rescue workers are still on alert at the site."
The regional authority attributed the fire to "a collision of a tanker with gasoline tanks" and stated that an investigation into the incident is underway.
A local official in the Khuzestan province, located in southwestern Iran, told the Islamic Republic News Agency that several people were also injured.
