Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani confirmed on Tuesday that his government's positions on the aggression against Gaza and Lebanon took national interest into account.
The Prime Minister's office stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that Al-Sudani received today a delegation from the Azm Alliance headed by Muthanna Abdul-Samad Al-Samarrai.
He added that during the meeting, many files at the national and regional levels were discussed, and the necessity of all political forces uniting to support the government and fulfill the requirements of its executive program was emphasized, which will positively reflect on enhancing citizens' trust in their government and the political system.
Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of completing all constitutional entitlements, foremost among them the resolution of the selection of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, due to the significance of this position at the national and legislative levels. He affirmed his support for all efforts aimed at completing this entitlement.
The Prime Minister clarified that the positions of Iraqis, regardless of their different orientations, towards the aggression on Gaza and Lebanon are identical, and that the government has expressed these views in Iraq's official positions, which represent the stances of national political forces, religious authorities, and constitutional authorities.
