Today, Saturday, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, received the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Mr. Omar Ahmed Mohammed, and the esteemed members of its board.

 
The meeting witnessed a discussion on the ongoing preparations of the Commission and its arrangements for holding the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Parliament elections (sixth session) on October 20, and the completion of all necessary procedures to conduct this important democratic practice.

 
The Prime Minister affirmed the government's support for the efforts of the Electoral Commission and the provision of all the requirements for the electoral process, emphasizing the necessity for the Commission and its staff to exert maximum efforts with the countdown to the elections, adopt neutrality and transparency, and achieve electoral justice to ensure the preservation of voters' voices in free and fair elections that meet the aspirations of the region's citizens.
