The Prime Minister of Iraq, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, held a phone call with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during which they discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the situation in Lebanon.
During the call, both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to halt the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in the martyrdom and injury of thousands of civilians. Al-Sudani and the Emir of Qatar stressed the need to coordinate Arab and Islamic positions to develop a unified stance that pressures major countries and international organizations to take responsibility for this dangerous escalation and the clear violations of international law.
The call also underscored the necessity of joint efforts to stop hostilities and put an end to the suffering of civilians in the region, while focusing on the importance of strengthening Arab unity to face common challenges.
