On Saturday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani instructed the Ministry of Interior to coordinate with the Lebanese embassy in Iraq to grant expedited travel documents to Lebanese citizens wishing to come to Iraq who do not possess passports.
The media office stated in a statement received by News that the Prime Minister "directed the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the Lebanese embassy in Iraq, to provide expedited travel documents to Lebanese citizens who wish to come to Iraq and do not have passports."
It added that "this is an expression of Iraq's support and solidarity with Lebanon and its brotherly people during their crisis and the exceptional circumstances they are experiencing."
