Statement from the Office of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani Regarding the Ongoing Israeli Aggression Against Lebanon

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

In these difficult days faced by the honorable Lebanese people, who are increasingly subjected to brutal Israeli aggression through savage methods—including the detonation of numerous personal communication devices and targeting densely populated homes, including those of women and children, as well as intensive airstrikes on dozens of villages and towns in the south and Bekaa—resulting thus far in the martyrdom and injury of many brave resistance fighters and innocent civilians, and the displacement of tens of thousands from their homes—the highest religious authority expresses its solidarity with the dear Lebanese and extends its condolences for their great suffering. It raises its hands in supplication to Allah, the Almighty, to protect them, safeguard them from the evils of the wicked, and to encompass their righteous martyrs with mercy and approval, and grant the wounded and afflicted a swift recovery.

While demanding all possible efforts to stop this ongoing brutal aggression and protect the Lebanese people from its devastating effects, it calls upon believers to take action that contributes to alleviating their suffering and securing their humanitarian needs.

May Allah preserve Lebanon and its dear people from all harm and misfortune.
