The ministry stated in a statement that "in recognition of her historic achievement, Minister of Education Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri directed the General Directorate of Curricula to include the success story of Paralympic champion Najla Imad, who won the gold medal at the Paris 2024 finals as the first Iraqi woman to win a gold medal in Iraq’s history, despite her disability and the loss of three limbs due to a terrorist attack, in the school curricula
It added that this decision was made "to serve as a model of challenge and success, and as evidence of the steadfastness of Iraqis and their triumph through hope and life
