The Parliamentary Finance Committee announced, today, Wednesday, continuous movements regarding the salary scale, and while it indicated that the salary scale has nothing to do with the budget, it indicated that it will achieve justice.
 
The head of the committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "The committee formed regarding the salary scale file was hosted to study what are the new paths and advantages that it can achieve."
 
He added, "We are confident that if this law is implemented, it will achieve justice," indicating that "many of those covered by the salary scale have their departments and ministries subject to the decisions of the Council of Ministers and do not need any legislative interference to change the allocation of a department or ministry."
 
Al-Atwani explained that "the salary scale has nothing to do with the budget and that the government has priorities and needs amounts that can cover these obligations."
