CBS News reported, citing diplomatic sources, that U.S. President Donald Trump initially agreed that the regional ceasefire agreement would include Lebanon as part of the understandings related to the recent escalation.
The sources explained that this position later changed following a phone call between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the decision to include the Lebanese front in the agreement was reversed.
