Iraq condemns the recent attack on a Kuwaiti border post and confirms the formation of an investigative committee to pursue those involved.

Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir al‑Shammari held a phone call with his Kuwaiti counterpart Fahd Al‑Yousef Al‑Sabah, during which he affirmed Iraq’s condemnation of the attack that targeted a border outpost inside Kuwait using two drones.

He also conveyed Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al‑Sudani’s directive to form an investigative committee to identify the parties responsible. Both sides stressed the importance of continuing security coordination and preventing the recurrence of such incidents.
