U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Iran will face a very strong strike today, noting that Tehran has become “the biggest loser in the Middle East.”
In a post on the “Truth Social” platform, viewed by Shafaq News Agency, Trump wrote that “Iran, which is suffering greatly, has apologized and surrendered to its neighbors in the Middle East and promised not to fire at them anymore.”
He added that “this promise was only broken because of the ongoing American and Israeli attack. They were seeking to control and rule the Middle East,” explaining that “this is the first time in thousands of years that Iran has been defeated by neighboring Middle Eastern countries.”
Trump stated that “Iran is no longer the tyrant of the Middle East; it has become the loser in the Middle East and will remain so for many decades until it surrenders or, more likely, collapses completely.”
The U.S. president continued, saying that “Iran will be struck very hard today, and there are areas and groups of people that were not targeted until now, and we are now seriously considering destroying them completely because of their bad behavior,” as he put it.
Since February 28, Israel and the United States have been carrying out attacks on Iran, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several security officials.
Iran has responded by launching attacks on Israel and what it describes as “American interests” in Arab countries, causing casualties and damage to civilian facilities, including ports and residential buildings.
