Meanwhile, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance expressed hope that Iran would approach the negotiations—scheduled for Thursday in Geneva—with seriousness. The talks, hosted by Oman, aim to reach an agreement to replace the previous nuclear deal.

Iran has rejected subsequent U.S. demands, including issues related to ballistic missiles and support for armed groups.
