Geneva will host new talks between Washington and Tehran next Tuesday in an effort to continue the dialogue that began with a round of discussions in Oman. The U.S. side will also join trilateral talks with Russia and Ukraine on the same day. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is threatening Iran with painful consequences if it does not agree to a deal regarding its nuclear program.
A source familiar with the matter told Reuters that a U.S. delegation—including envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner—will meet with the Iranian side on Tuesday morning in Geneva as part of efforts to build on the initial round of talks hosted by Oman on February 6.
The source added that Witkoff and Kushner will later participate that same day in trilateral discussions involving representatives from Russia and Ukraine in an attempt to advance efforts to end the war that has been ongoing for nearly four years.
