The government spokesperson stated that training and examinations will be conducted under the supervision of the traffic police, relying primarily on female trainers and examiners, while allowing male trainers to assist when needed and in accordance with established rules.

She added that the new regulations outline technical safety standards for motorcycles, including requirements related to helmets and brakes, with priority given to electric motorcycles. Implementation is expected to begin in the coming days.

This measure follows a long debate over women’s right to obtain motorcycle licenses. Officials say traffic laws contain no explicit ban, but the absence of executive regulations previously prevented implementation.
