Trump stated that a large naval fleet is moving toward the Middle East, including an aircraft carrier and several destroyers. He made the remarks to reporters aboard the presidential plane Air Force One on his way back to the United States after meeting world leaders in Davos, Switzerland.

Trump said, “We have a large number of ships moving in that direction, in case of any emergency… I don’t want anything to happen, but we are watching them closely.”

U.S. forces in the Middle East are being reinforced with the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier and several guided‑missile destroyers, along with additional air defense systems that could be crucial if Iran attacks American bases in the region.

Last week, U.S. warships—including the Abraham Lincoln carrier, several destroyers, and fighter aircraft—began moving from the Asia‑Pacific region toward the Middle East, amid growing tensions between Tehran and Washington following the recent protests in Iran.
