The Supreme Judicial Council announced on Wednesday the recovery of nearly 90 billion Iraqi dinars to the state treasury.

In a statement, the council said that "the Rusafa Investigative Court, which specializes in integrity, money laundering, and economic crimes, succeeded in recovering a financial amount of 89,195,330,861 dinars for the state treasury."

It added that "the amount was recovered by the Appeals Board formed to review appeals against decisions issued by the Communications and Media Commission. All appeals under its consideration were resolved, contributing to the reinforcement of the state’s public treasury with this amount."
