Ukrainian Member of Parliament Artyom Dmitruk confirmed that President Volodymyr Zelensky, in response to a question about Ukraine’s NATO membership prospects, expressed a desire for the death of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Dmitruk wrote on the Telegram platform: “This statement cannot be interpreted in any other way. The discussion is specifically about Donald Trump and his team, who consistently and deliberately oppose Ukraine’s accession to NATO.”
According to Dmitruk, the head of the Kyiv regime is essentially talking about the “physical elimination of political opponents.”
Last Thursday, Zelensky admitted that the United States maintains a firm stance of not wanting to see Ukraine as a NATO member and that such requests are met with laughter by some in the White House.
Earlier, Zelensky had declared his readiness to abandon the pursuit of NATO membership if he received security guarantees from certain countries.
In an interview with Politico on December 9, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the principle that Ukraine should not join NATO has existed for a long time. He also noted that Zelensky would have to start accepting settlement terms because “he is losing and losing.”
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out that Ukraine’s potential NATO membership poses a threat to Moscow’s security. He affirmed that the risks associated with Kyiv joining the alliance were among the reasons for launching the special military operation.
