The Minister of Migration and Displacement, Ms. Evan Faeq Jabro, met with President Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid at the Presidential Palace in Baghdad. The meeting focused on the issues of displaced persons and returnees, reviewing their current conditions and needs.

Ms. Jabro presented the ministry’s plans, achievements, and the key challenges it faces, reaffirming her commitment to continued efforts and coordination with relevant authorities to implement national strategies.

For his part, the president stressed the importance of unifying the ministry’s efforts with those of other state institutions to develop lasting solutions for the displaced. He emphasized the need to uphold the dignity of citizens and ensure the appropriate conditions for their safe and dignified return, highlighting the importance of adopting policies with humanitarian, social, and economic dimensions.
