The governor of Ukraine’s southern Odesa region, Oleh Kiper, announced on Friday that Russia attacked energy infrastructure in the area overnight.

Kiper stated that the assault caused fires and power outages. He added that the drone strike led to electricity being cut off in several residential communities in the region, which hosts some of Ukraine’s main seaports.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that its air defense systems destroyed 90 Ukrainian drones over various Russian regions and along the Black Sea coast during the night.
