According to Politico, U.S. President Donald Trump is set to receive a "Peace Prize" from FIFA during the group stage draw ceremony for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for today, Friday.

The event will feature a musical performance by renowned opera singer Andrea Bocelli, one of Trump’s favorite artists.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino is expected to deliver a formal speech before presenting the award to Trump. The ceremony will conclude with a musical performance by the Village People, including their hit song "YMCA," which has been used in Trump’s campaign rallies and political events.

The 2026 World Cup will be hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19 and will feature 48 teams for the first time in the tournament’s history.

FIFA had previously commented on Trump’s threats to move World Cup matches out of Boston, stating that the president has the right to determine which cities are suitable and secure to host the games.
