Iraq’s Ministry of Oil has announced that the new Al-Shamal 2 and Salah Al-Din 3 refineries will add a production capacity of up to 140,000 barrels per day, enabling the country to soon begin exporting gas oil, jet fuel, and gasoline.
Deputy Minister for Refining Affairs, Adnan Hammoud, confirmed that Iraq has reached self-sufficiency in all types of fuel required by its citizens. He noted that fuel exports will generate significant economic returns for the state.
