, the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees held its 23rd General Assembly meeting for the year 2025 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The meeting was attended by representatives of all Arab National Olympic Committees, including Iraq, and resulted in the election of the First Deputy President of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Abdulsalam Khalaf, as a member of the Union’s Executive Office, representing Iraq.

Additionally, Bahrain was chosen to host the Arab Games in 2027, while Saudi Arabia was selected to host the Games in 2031.
