The U.S. Energy Information Administration revealed on Thursday that the United States imported over 20 million barrels of oil from OPEC countries in July 2025, with Iraq ranking second among those exporters.

According to statistics reviewed by Shafaq News Agency, the total volume of U.S. crude oil imports reached 29.933 million barrels in July 2025.

Iraq came in second among OPEC countries, exporting 9.825 million barrels, while Saudi Arabia topped the list with 9.996 million barrels. Nigeria followed in third place with 3.768 million barrels.

Algeria ranked fourth with 2.112 million barrels, followed by Libya with 2.011 million barrels, Gabon with 678,000 barrels, Kuwait with 650,000 barrels, and Venezuela in eighth place with 175,000 barrels.

The administration noted that the remaining OPEC member states—Congo, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates—did not export any oil to the United States during July.
