Trump from Japan: We Will Deliver F-35 Missiles to Tokyo This Week.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that the United States will deliver the first batch of missiles designated for F-35 fighter jets to Tokyo this week.

Speaking from Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan, Trump stated, “The United States will deliver to Japan this week the first batch of missiles for the F-35 fighter jets,” adding, “No enemy would dare threaten the U.S. Navy—there is no naval force in the world that comes close to our capabilities.”

He continued, “There are no missiles or equipment like these anywhere in the world. No one makes them like we do. And if they try, our Navy will destroy and crush them.”

Trump also revealed that he had approved the largest defense budget in U.S. history, amounting to one trillion dollars. He pledged to resume the construction of warships and noted that the U.S. military is waging a war on drugs in the Caribbean.

It’s worth noting that Trump departed for Malaysia on Monday, the first stop of his Asia tour. He arrived in Japan later that evening, marking the second leg of his trip, ahead of his anticipated meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
