Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared on Friday that the time has come to stop arms sales to Israel and impose sanctions against it.

Speaking aboard the presidential plane during his return from a Gulf tour, Erdogan noted the arrival of Turkey’s 17th aid ship, “Al-Lutf,” at Egypt’s Al-Arish port, reaffirming Turkey’s ongoing commitment to sending humanitarian aid to Gaza without interruption.

He emphasized that “sufficient diplomatic pressure on Israel is essential,” stating that “the time for action, not words, has come.”

Erdogan also called for “halting arms sales through sanctions and forcing Israel to fulfill its commitments.”

He added that Hamas is adhering to the ceasefire while Israel continues to violate the agreement, urging the international community and the United States to intensify efforts to ensure Israel’s full compliance.

Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s readiness to meet Gaza’s needs and participate in its reconstruction and recovery, describing the Israeli blockade as “inhumane.”
