Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is heading to Sweden on Wednesday, where the two countries are expected to announce an agreement on arms "exports," according to a statement from the Swedish government.

Zelensky will meet with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in the city of Linköping, home to the headquarters of Saab, the defense company that manufactures Gripen fighter jets.

The government added, “At the conclusion of the meeting, Kristersson and Zelensky will hold a joint press conference to make an announcement regarding defense exports.”

Kristersson wrote on the platform. “A strong and capable Ukraine is a top priority for Sweden, and we will continue to ensure that Ukraine can respond to Russian aggression.”
